Political Party Change

Once you are registered to vote in Florida, it is important to keep your voter registration record up to date with your current name, address, and political party affiliation.

VERY IMPORTANT:  The deadline for a voter to make a party affiliation change is no later than 29 days before a primary election.

You can change your political party affiliation by any of the options below:

  • Provide a signed, written notice that contains your name, date of birth or voter registration number, and new chosen political party affiliation (mail, fax, email or hand deliver). For a list of Florida’s political party information, visit the Division of Elections’ website

If you do not have the ability to print the online application, please contact our office for further assistance, or to have an application mailed to you.

A new Voter Information Card will be mailed reflecting your changes.

Under Florida law, e-mail addresses are public records. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing.
