Clerk

  • $200 per day -  plus $30 for supply pick up and delivery
  • This position is mandated by Florida Statutes and is responsible for overseeing all tasks and activities at the polling place.
  • Performs pre and post election reconciliation paperwork and duties.
  • Operates electronic voter check-in equipment.
  • A Clerk must demonstrate working knowledge of the laws and procedures related to voter registration, voting system operation, balloting and polling place procedures, and problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

Assistant Clerk 

  • $150 per day
  • Assists the Clerk with pre and post-election reconciliation paperwork and duties.
  • Operates electronic voter check-in equipment. 
  • This position is granted authority by Florida Statutes to supervise in the Clerk's absence.
  • An Assistant Clerk must demonstrate working knowledge of the laws and procedures related to voter registration, voting system operation, balloting and polling place procedures, and problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.to supervise in the Clerk's absence.

Voting System Specialist 

  • $175 per day
  • Trains extensively on and manages all voting equipment in the polling place.
  • Performs pre and post election paperwork and duties. 
  • Monitors and assists voters with the voting process and equipment.

Assistant Voting System Specialist 

  • $150 per day
  • Trains extensively on all voting equipment in the polling place.
  • Assist the Voting Systems Specialist with monitoring and assisting voters with the voting process and equipment.
  • Acts as the Voting System Specialist in the Voting System Specialist's absence.

EViD Check-In / Supply 

  • $130 per day
  • Greets and processes voters during check-in.
  • Operates voter check-in equipment.
  • Verifies photo and signature ID and issues ballots.

Deputy 

  • $120 per day
  • Must be deputized by the Nassau County Sheriff's office at training
  • Greets voters and assists in maintaining order at the polling place.
  • Monitors and enforces the 100' no solicitation area outside of the polling place.

 Training Sessions

  • All workers are required by state law to attend at least one training session prior to each election. 
  • Election Workers are paid $25 per training session attended.
  • If you are assigned a position to work on Election Day, but do not report for duty, you will not receive any training pay.
  • Alternates will receive training pay regardless of whether they work on Election Day or not (standby pay).
