Is Your Signature Current?

The signature in your voter registration record is extremely important in the voting process as it is used to verify your signature on Vote by Mail ballots, petitions and provisional ballots.

Signatures may change, or appear to have changed, due to the passage of time or other circumstances such as:

  • A temporary or permanent illness or injury;
  • Signing a document in a hurry; or
  • An unclear signature image was provided by a driver's license office or other voter registration agency where you registered to vote or updated your voter registration record.

A registered voter may update his or her signature at any time using a voter registration application.  Applications are also available at many other locations in Nassau County.  Click here for a complete list.

Please remember - you must personally sign your voter registration application.  The law does not permit a person with power of attorney to sign your application.  If you are unable to sign your complete name for medical or other reasons, please make any mark that you are capable of making.  This mark will then be your official signature in your voter registration record.  If you are a person with a disability requiring further assistance, please contact our office.

Under Florida law, e-mail addresses are public records. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing.
